Melissa Jones
Director of Administration

Life Verse: Genesis 50:20 – "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives."

About Melissa

Melissa Jones joins Blue Jean after serving faithfully at Church of the Highlands in Birmingham for the past 10 years. With a deep love for people and a servant's heart, she is passionate about helping others and spreading the love of Christ.

Melissa has been married to her best friend, Heath, for 24 years. Together, they have raised three children. Their daughter Elise, 22, and son Ethan, 20, both live in Birmingham. Ethan is currently raising funds to return to Japan, where he feels called to missions. Their youngest son, Evan, 15, is joining them as part of the Blue Jean family.

Melissa came to know Jesus while attending Jefferson State Community College and was filled with the Holy Spirit at 19. Shortly after, she joined a traveling evangelism team called Master’s Commission, which allowed her to share the gospel across the U.S. and in Scotland.

Since meeting Heath in 1999, the two have been actively involved in their local church. Melissa also enjoys teaching and homeschools their son Evan. Beyond her ministry and family, Melissa has a creative spirit and loves cooking, baking, and trying new things in the kitchen.
